How to copy error messages from Business Central

When submitting a support ticket you will be asked for the error message you receive. This is critical for resolution of the issue.

Microsoft have made some improvements so you don't have to take a screen shot. This helps the Support Desks as it allows the error message to be searchable making it easier to check historical issues and resolutions. 

Capturing the error message to your Clipboard

Type 1 

In the following error message click on the Share Details text. This will open a short menu, Copy error details to add to your clipboard ready for pasting into the ticket.

Type 2

The 2nd type of error message is slightly different. 

1. Hover over the Red Cross to show the dialogue box

2. Click on the copy icon in the bottom right side of the dialogue box.

This will have copied the error message to your clipboard to paste into a Support Ticket.
